Practice principle

Readable is not the same as correct, current, complete, or appropriate.

A draft looks polished enough to use, but the business needs a consistent human check before it becomes a customer message, public claim, instruction, or internal record.

Use it at the task

Start with these decisions

1. Check names, dates, numbers, links, policies, and source facts against the original record.
2. Remove invented specifics, unsupported claims, and confident language that the source cannot support.
3. Ask whether the tone and next step fit the actual audience and situation.
4. Keep the responsible person as the final editor and sender.

Do not let a convenient draft become an unchecked decision

Do not use an AI draft as authority. It can be useful writing assistance while still being wrong, outdated, incomplete, or unsuitable for the business’s context.
