AI basics
Give a prompt useful context
AI gives a generic answer because the request does not name the audience, job, source material, limits, or format that would make the response useful.
Ask for one defined result, then show the boundaries around it.

Start with these decisions
- State the job in one sentence: what do you need help producing or understanding?
- Name the intended reader, customer, teammate, or internal use case.
- Give only information the chosen tool is approved to receive.
- Specify the format, length, tone, and facts that must not be changed.
Do not let a convenient draft become an unchecked decision
More context is not automatically better. Do not paste private customer, employee, financial, health, contract, password, or internal business information into a tool unless the business has approved that use and understands the setting.
